This enchanting story captivates with its blend of humor, passion, and engaging characters. Readers will appreciate Tamsin's spirited determination and Christian's honorable yet exasperated demeanor as they navigate their tumultuous relationship. The witty banter and playful pranks create a delightful tension that keeps the pages turning. Moreover, the exploration of societal constraints intertwined with a heartfelt romance makes for a compelling read. With themes of personal sacrifice and the quest for happiness, this novel is a must-read for romance enthusiasts seeking a fresh and entertaining historical love story. I really loved the German words sprinkled throughout the story (there is a glossary in the back). I was really mad at the historical accuracy of how a woman didn’t outright have custody of her children (AGH!) and the unfairness of it. The story was thought provoking on many different levels. I really liked it and recommend it to fans of historical romance.

The Duchess Takes It All by Michelle McLean book review
Tamsin Palmer, the recently widowed Duchess of Clevesly, seemingly has it all: wealth, a title, a grand estate, and her beloved toddler son. Yet, her life is far from easy. Ostracized by high society for her commoner roots as a jeweler's daughter, she faces an even greater challenge with the arrival of Christian August, the Count of Rauchberg. Tasked with co-guardianship of her son, Christian is determined to impose order upon Tamsin's chaotic life. Their initial clashes quickly turn into a battle of wits as Tamsin employs mischievous pranks to reclaim her autonomy, driving Christian to distraction with her fiery spirit and undeniable charm. As their arguments intensify, so does their longing for each other, culminating in a passionate connection that threatens to unravel their carefully constructed lives. Both Tamsin and Christian grapple with societal expectations and personal sacrifices, navigating a complex web of love, duty, and the longing for freedom. With humor, heart, and a touch of steam, The Duchess Takes It All offers a delightful enemies-to-lovers tale set against a richly woven historical backdrop.

In Earl Crush, author Alexandra Vasti delivers a delightful Regency romance filled with humor, intrigue, and unexpected love. The story follows Lydia Hope-Wallace, a socially anxious heiress who has secretly penned political pamphlets for three years. Engaged in correspondence with the reclusive Earl of Strathrannoch, she decides to travel to Scotland to propose a marriage of convenience after learning of his financial troubles. However, upon arrival, Lydia discovers that she has been writing to the earl’s younger brother, Davis, who has misrepresented himself. This revelation sets off a whirlwind of emotions as Lydia navigates her feelings for the genuine earl, Arthur Baird, who is initially taken aback by her sudden appearance. As they join forces to locate Davis, who is entangled in espionage, their chemistry ignites, leading to a passionate connection that neither expected. Night Shift: Broken Heroes by Evie James & Craig Richards book review
Night Shift is an enticing medical romance that intertwines suspense with a dash of mafia intrigue. At its core is Atticus Thorin, a brooding senior ER doctor nearing 40 and grappling with burnout. His reputation for being an icy authoritarian doesn't deter the spirited young nurse, Samantha Sheridan, who brings a fiery wit to the department. Their initial clash leads to a magnetic connection, igniting both tension and desire.
As Atticus attempts to maintain the unbreakable walls around his scarred heart, Samantha's sassy demeanor challenges his emotional detachment.
The stakes rise when Samantha's safety is jeopardized by the man who should have protected her, pulling Atticus into a deep-seated need to rescue her from the looming danger. This unexpected twist reveals layers of both characters, who are haunted by their pasts—Samantha by her father's sins and Atticus by his emotional scars.
This age-gap romance captures the journey of healing and trust. Atticus and Samantha's relationship is fraught with challenges as they learn to lower their defenses and embrace vulnerability. The chemistry between them is palpable, enhanced by steamy encounters that will leave readers breathless.
The medical backdrop is more than just a setting; it's a vital component of the narrative. It's an enjoyable escape into a world where love blossoms amidst chaos, making it a perfect pick for fans of spicy, age-gap romances. Highly recommended for those curious about the unexpected blend of medical and mafia themes!

Book of the Month by Jennifer Probst book review
Sexy time in the Outer Banks. Aspen Lourde is desperate for another bestseller… and she'll go to any length to get it. Even if it means sacrificing her pride to chase the hottest bachelor in town and get him to break her heart… Aspen Lourde can't seem to produce another successful book, and the pressure's on to prove she's not just a one-hit-wonder. Without any fresh romantic turmoil to fuel her pen, Aspen needs inspiration quick enough to create a book her agent can sell to her publisher. So she escapes for the summer to the Outer Banks with a plan to live a story worth writing.
Brick Babel is a romance novelist's dream: a local heartthrob with a reputation as wild as the horses running free in the town. He's everything Aspen needs for a muse kickstart—gorgeous, moody, and notoriously unattainable. A good heartbreak is exactly what she needs to meet her deadline and her agent's patience is growing thin.
But Brick refuses to play the game, rejecting all of her advances. When Aspen hears his tour company is on the verge of bankruptcy, she offers him a deal: fake a whirlwind summer romance, then ditch her, drama guaranteed.
Desperate to save his grandfather's business, Brick agrees to the ridiculous deal. What starts as a contractual fling spirals out of control as lines blur and real feelings emerge. Brick's falling hard, and Aspen's rethinking her plot twist. The novel might be her ticket back to the top, but at what cost?
Book of the Month delivers an entertaining romance set against the stunning backdrop of North Carolina's Outer Banks. The setting is so beautifully and vividly described that I found myself wanting to pack my bags and visit immediately! Brick, the misunderstood hero, is a standout. The chemistry between Aspen and Brick is undeniable, leading to some steamy moments where Brick's take-charge attitude and dirty talk added spice to their romance.
The secondary characters also shine, adding layers of fun, angst, and intrigue to the story. I'm excited to see where the story goes next, especially with Aspen's sister and Brick's best friend gearing up for their own romance in the future. If fake dating, dating the bad boy, small town romance is your thing, definitely pick up this book! I loved it.
