Scotch on the Rocks by Elliot Fletcher book review

In "Scotch on the Rocks" by Elliot Fletcher, opposites attract in a steamy, contemporary, Scottish romance. This is book two of the Mccabe Brothers series.  Juniper Ross sets strict rules to avoid the Macabe brothers, especially after her engagement with one of them ends. However, Callum Macabe, the small-town hero, keeps appearing just when she needs him most. Despite her efforts to resist, the chemistry between them is undeniable. As Juniper navigates her vulnerabilities, Callum's relentless support and charm make breaking the rules increasingly tempting. Set against the picturesque Isle of Skye, this tale of forbidden love explores themes of healing, family drama, and discovering true connection. 

I have to say that I understand why Juniper would want to stay away from the Mccabe brothers.  She has been hurt and wants to protect herself. BUT, she also realizes that it would be nice to have a partner and when the chemistry is off the charts, it's hard to resist! The novel blends the beloved "ex's brother" trope with a small-town setting, offering a perfect mix of heart, humor, and heat. Juniper and Callum's dynamic banter and sizzling chemistry make for an addictive read, while the dual perspectives provide deeper emotional insight. I didn't realize that I started with book #2, so it works as a stand alone.  But I am ready to read the rest of the series. Fans of heartfelt, steamy romances with rich character development and a touch of Scottish charm will find this book is hard to put down once you start reading.
